ABOUT US

Having always been a cat lover, especially of the Burmese breed, I knew I was at some stage going to own a Burmese to love.

Our first Burmese, Coco, a Chocolate Tortie, entered our home in 1999. She arrived from a breeder in Christchurch, in the South Island of New Zealand.

Two years later, Oscar (my darling friend) came into our home, and I thank Thelma at Catrest Burmese in Gisborne New Zealand for breeding such a darling beautifully natured boy.

In 2005 we made a big move, shifting to Western Australia due to a work contract for my partner.  Of course, our feline family came with us, and after a long flight, settled into Australian life.

Tragically, shortly after arriving, Coco died.  Oscar missed her immensely (and so did we) so we decided to find another mate for us all, while at the same time, start building a Burmese breeding programme, which was something I had always longed to do.

We are therefore thankful to Jenny and Tony at Repetite Burmese who have provided us with our darling Lou Lou, enabling us to start our breeding programme. They have been so supportive and thoughtfully share their knowledge with us.

When Lou Lou entered our lives and home, our neutered boy Oscar immediately took her under is ‘wing’ and became ‘Mummy’ to her, which enabled her to settle immediately into the family.  These two were inseparable and Lou Lou adored Oscar.

So sadly for us, we have now lost him, and he has left such a void in ours and Lou Lou’s lives.  We miss him so.

We missed our ‘Snuggle Bum’ so much that we now have another neuter boy to share our lives.  Zakkie (or Boofie as he is more affectionally called) is also from Repetite Burmese.  He has helped Lou Lou raise her kittens, by being 2nd in charge with the cleaning duties, along with babysitting when Lou Lou stepped out for some  R & R.
